Mogget and Grimalkin

So yeah I've started reading The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I'm only about half way through the first book The Iron King so I'll reserve judgement till I've finished the series as I've bought all 3 so I might as well finish them >>;;

But yeah so there's a sarcastic talking cat character called Grimalkin who just reminds me so much of Mogget from The Old Kingdom trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen) by Garth Nix and they were sat side by side in my mind so I decided to draw it.

Before anyone thinks I'm freakishly good at drawing cats, I'm really not, my cat Fluffy (the rescue centre named him) was quite happy to model for me and I drew over pictures I took of him. Mainly because my attempts at cats neither look cartoonish or realistic. In fact they tend to look mangled so bleh XD

Sorry if I got their eye colours wrong, I tried to look round for descriptions but everywhere just described the colour of their fur *shrug*

I have some sketches of Sabriel and Lirael lieing around but it amuses me that the first fanart I put up of the series feautres the cat XD And I can see why people like Grimalkin more than the series' heroine Megahn Chase.

So yes, enjoy a pair of sarcastic moggies.
