Marian, Fiona, Katara Patches

Maid Marian: Up until now all of my patches have been of the human orientation. This was a real challenge for me and personally I think I pulled it off I'm looking forward to doing Sowya from Cat's Don't Dance and Mrs Frisby from The Secret of Nihm even more now.

Fiona: Fiona's head came out a little too big I think but I love the details on the bodice of her dress. Considering she's actually CG-ed rather than 2D animation like my other patches I desided to do her hair without lines. I had also done Katara earlier than Fiona and decided that constraining a braid to a black outline was an utter nightmair. Choosing a pose was also really difficult 'cause Fiona doesn't really have anything symbolic to her but then I rememberred the bird she popped with her singing. Couldn't get a reference so I had to draw my own bird...I think the bird came out alright don't you?

Katara: Not techincally a movie heroine but a heroine non-the-less. Either way, I'm a new avatar fan and a Zutara shipper to boot. Oh well...the water was one of my best achievements to date and the fur. I'm learning new techniques with every character I do and it's great. Maybe I'll be able to do a decent, non chibi, cg piece at the end of this project.

The Project: With these three out of the way I am officially 4/7ths of the way through the project but I don't have enough heroine's to hit the 49 mark. Check out my progress journal here [link] and see if you can find any I've missed. They've got to be a movie heroine though.
